Play ROTK.

ROTK runs on the copy of Z1 Battle Royale you already own on Steam. Sign in, get your game key, install the launcher. About three minutes from here to the lobby.

    Account

    Sign in with Steam

    Go to rotk.app and sign in with your Steam account. That is the only way in: no email address, no password.

    Your ROTK account is made for you the first time you sign in.

    Game key

    Generate your game key

    On rotk.app, click your avatar at the top right, open Account settings and press Generate key under Player launcher key.

    You only see the key once. Copy it somewhere safe. Lost it? Generate a new one; that switches off the old key.

    Launcher v2.0.20

    Install the launcher and play

    Download and run the launcher. It is open source: anyone can read the code, check what it does and build it themselves.

    After installing

    • It looks for your Steam copy of Z1 Battle Royale by itself, in every Steam library, and checks it by what is in the folder rather than by its name.
    • It suggests a place for ROTK on your system drive, usually C:\Games\ROTK, and makes that folder for you.
    • On a normal Steam setup both paths are filled in already. Press Install once.
    • The launcher copies what it needs from your own Steam install into the new folder.
    • Not found, or rather somewhere else? Pick the folders yourself; the same checks apply.
    • Paste your game key into the launcher and sign in.

Your Steam install stays untouched.

The launcher never uses or changes your official Steam installation. ROTK lives in its own folder, so changed settings or launcher files can't clash with the live game.

ROTK doesn't download or hand out H1Z1. It only makes a local copy from the Z1 Battle Royale you already own.
